The "New Understanding of North Korea" series, covering all fields of North Korea—politics, economy, military, society, language and literature, education and science and technology, broadcasting/media and the arts, women and family, and unification and foreign policy—is a major work to which 114 of the nation's foremost scholars and researchers in North Korean studies contributed, producing 114 papers.
