Media Korean Studies Corp. was established with the mission of globalizing and popularizing Korean Studies.
Since its founding in 1964, Kyungin Cultural Press has been dedicated to the research and advancement of Korean Studies. In particular, since the 1990s, it has undertaken the publication of the Collected Works of Korean Historical Literature, which compiles the cultural and intellectual heritage of past scholars. To date, over 4,000 volumes have been published, alongside the development of a comprehensive database. The company remains committed to discovering and organizing dispersed literary works to further contribute to the advancement of Korean Studies.
Since 2000, Media Korean Studies has compiled outstanding domestic and international research and published major academic series, including the Kyungin Korean Studies Series, the Korea–Japan Relations Series, and the Goryeo Historical Society Research Series. Through close collaboration with academic associations and research institutions, the company continues to publish works of high scholarly value and actively promote the dissemination of Korean Studies.
In the 21st-century knowledge-based society, Korean Studies possesses both excellence and universality, enabling it to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of human society. Rather than remaining confined to a limited circle of experts, Media Korean Studies was founded to make Korean Studies accessible to the broader public and to facilitate its practical application in everyday life.
Through the digitalization of Korean Studies resources, Media Korean Studies aims to provide high-quality services that enable both researchers and the general public to access and utilize knowledge without limitations of time or location. Beyond simple digitization, the company seeks to integrate these resources with diverse fields and innovative production technologies, creating new knowledge and cultural value.
